Voyage of Love
Waves on the waters, rolling onto the shore
And the leaves of the willow bring a song to my ear While the seagulls they ponder on the fish in the sea And the kite on a string breathing high in the wind Let me take you away to the clouds in the sky Let me carry you back to your home. Silvery horses fading into the blue A child gazing into the face of the moon Swaying and playing by the edge of the sea While the breeze from the north comes to set them all free Let her take you away to the clouds in the sky Let her carry you back to your home. Silence is one thing you can never win Love is a river in the valley of your dreams In the boat of your passion you can cross streams of joy Follow the wind like a bird in the sky Let her take you, sweet lady, let her take you away Let her carry you back to your home. Into the Sea of Now
When your lover has gone and you're all alone,
and the sun is just behind a cloud
And you're nowhere at home, you don't see anyone at all, you really don't know where to go And nothing is truly the same as before, your friends they're all gone out of town Don't waste your time to wonder why, go and spend some more time on your own. When will you start rowing into the sea of now, with the captain there by your side You've been following too long the wind of yesterday, while the time is slowly passing by And you showed me the way to the door of the world in the light of a young summer's day I'm a-steering my boat to the will of the Lord - wherever He may be. So now love has decayed and faded away, where were you when the storm took your sail Was it springtime that changed your night into day, or was it just another dream Have you seen how your jewel has turned into stone and your crown it has drowned in the sea And even the dew has forsaken you, the moon never cared for your pleas. O beware little flower, take heed not to break, when the seasons are changing their flow You have only one summer to live, and once more life is taking you anywhere you wanna go Won't you spread your wings like a seagull drifting high above the shore into lands far unknown For now is the time for your seeds to be sown across the fields of today. How many mountains between you and me, the sun in the sky is setting low And how many times I have heard you say, you may take my heart, but never my soul O sister of sorrow, where shall you be, when your lover has been taken from your side You told me a story of joy and of pain - let my river flow into your sea. I recall you as a child, who never had a friend, who would show you how to listen to the wind And the beauty of the sun, that never crossed your room, would pass by like a bird flying home O carry me where clouds are sailing still, through a sky full of laughter and cries Swift like a star in the heavenly sea, bound to fall into freedom - I could try... Until the Fading of the Dawn
Your love shall be in strength untamed,
that neither pride nor fame besieged
If like the fire's thirsty flames, once kindled, you will never cease To burn for your beloved one, and had as lief go bare as gain. Your love shall flower not in vain, nor wither when the season ends Nay, you shall win your lover's hand, and by touch of his sweet caress You'll know the season has begun, forever with you to remain. Your love shall wander not astray, nor dress herself in thorns of hate While if your heart is burnt to ash, you shan't fulfil your lover's wish And like the sun behind the clouds, the light is taken from your day. Your love will wile away her youth and lose her leaves once gently stroked A flower though dried up by age, her seeds are born to bear her grace And, while their faith is yet untouched, reveal her purity of thought. Your love shall stand against all storms, that rage within a feeble heart And, strengthened by the soul's embrace, no fear nor pain can tear apart A love like this is bound to last until the fading of the dawn. ![]() Free as the Wind
Every little child is dreaming to be free as the wind
Sailing through the air and whipping clouds with their tiny hands Laughters in the trees and tears running down as they fly Innocently drifting, swiftly catching hold of the sky But when the sun comes up and twilight melts their little bodies away They would not stay the same, they only came to say, "It's over." Joys and memories of childhood happiness engraved in your heart Many lonesome hours spent playing the hero's part And between every line that has been spoken in despise Many lifetimes have ceased, you have just cast the dice And then night dawns and all your youth has been wasted away You would not stay the same, you only came to say, "It's over." Love is a friend that takes you by your hand when dreams seem to fail Breaking all your ties and tieing broken bands of friendships once held Lifting you above the cliffs where you were trembling once before Now you found yourself, you know the way to come to His door And when the hour nears when dreams are drowned in the ocean of fear They would not stay the same, they only came to say, "It's over."
